Community Engineering Learnership Programme
Glencore Operations South Africa Coal Division offers learnerships to dynamic, result-orientated individuals in various trades:
- Boilermaker
- Diesel Mechanic
- Fitter
- Electrician.

Requirements:
- Grade 12
- N2 with a 50% pass mark in all four compulsory subjects (Mathematics. Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, except for Boilermaker Learnership candidates who must have Plating and Structural Steel Drawing, Trade Theory relevant to the Trade that the Learner is applying for)
- Code EB (08) driver’s licence will be an added advantage
- Reside in the Emakhazeni Local Municipality and Albert Luthuli area (CV with proof of residence and ID copy to be attached).
In line with the Company’s Social and Labour Plans as well as. Employment Equity targets, successful candidates will come from the local communities where Glencore Operations South Africa Coal Division-owned and managed operations are located.
The successful candidates must be in possession of a valid Certificate of Fitness or be fit enough to obtain one prior to commencement in this role, as this is a requirement of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
