Job Title: Pharmacist Assistant Basic and Post Basic Learnership

Job Type: Learnership – 12 Months Contract
Reporting to: Pharmacy (Public and Private)

Main Purpose of the Job:
Our goal is to promote the advancement of human capacity development and provide adequate technical assistance to the different sectors throughout South Africa.

About the Learnership:

  • Employs learners on 12 months fixed term contract
  • Provides learnership opportunity to youth between the ages of 18 and 28 year
  • Provides the opportunity for Basic and Post Basic qualified to learners to gain practical experience
  • Enables up-and-coming young to exercise their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professional
  • The Pharmacy Assistants will be working under supervision of the pharmacist, dispensing of medication, drug management and drug information systems, interpretation of medical prescription, HIV/AIDS drug supervision and stock management, stock control and preparing quotation.

Level of qualifications: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Mandatory Subject to Quality:

Basic Learners: Mathematics or Mathematical Literary

Qualified Basic Pharmacist Assistant: Qualified Basic certificate, Complain certificate, Tutor and premises certificate.

Experience: None

Stipend: R3 000.00
