Amazon’s purpose is to be earth’s most customer-centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. At Amazon, we need advanced technology and automation to meet customer demand. New technologies help power faster delivery times, greater selection, and lower costs for our customers. For our associates, technology opens doors to new careers and gives them the opportunity to work in technologically rich environments that are safer and more efficient. Amazon Fulfilment is where our employees, technology and innovation come together every day to deliver for our customers. We are also focused on providing resources to the next generation of innovators and helping ignite a lifelong passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Our goal is to make the connection between STEM skills and the real-world application of STEM concepts in our fulfilment centres as well as provide tools and support to students in our communities. Amazon gives them a chance to get excited about STEM and see robotics in action, and it shows them how creative thinking is critical to Amazon operations.
